December begins!

Boy, a lot changes in a month! This is December 6th. Adam has learned to clap and pull up to his music table... of course he wouldn't stand up by himself while I had the camera...
Caleb gets a piggyback ride from Papa!
Adam loves pushing the buttons and turning the "page" so the table lights up and plays music!
Caleb and Gracie being best buds...
We have our first measurable snow for the season - and Caleb and I put up the snow village.
The pieces are out on the table - I put the houses up - Caleb was to place the trees, people, etc.
He did a fine job - and then added his "Cars" cars and trucks to the city - placing them on the road - along with some wild animals from his zoo collection!
Adam and his "hands up" position! I think he's familiar with the Blue Man Group too!

He's growing so quickly!

November highlights!

November began with a special treat for Caleb! Bennett and Stephanye took him to the Health Adventure downtown to see the Blue Man Group - Sound Waves exhibit. He got to play on PVC pipes and various non-traditional percussion instruments!
Crawling through the connector to the next part of the exhibit...
I think this is Rock Movement Number .... I don't remember....
Another fun tunnel! Caleb climbs on a piglet outside of Pack Place! Great picture!
Demonstrating the Blue Man drumsticks Uncle Bennett bought him... adoring little brother Adam watching in the background!
A little quieter time - reading through some books!
Of course, Thanksgiving always comes in late November. We traveled to Clover to be with the Rogers and all the extended family! Caleb took up with Nathaniel for the day and tried to hang a spoon on his nose like his cousin!
the other end of the table... Stephanye, Adam, Bennett, Jeff, Abbey, Hannah and Pete
Great-grandmother Nana Ollie holds Adam for a bit... he's always chewing, cutting more teeth!
Nathaniel and Caleb in the TV room - Caleb enjoying the slide show!
Elizabeth and Alan, along with Pam and the back of David's head!
Early the next morning, Caleb and Nathaniel watch a DVD... Caleb spent the weekend with us in Clover!
Caleb and Nathaniel outside enjoying the warm weather!
Great-grandfather Pete holding Caleb in his new guitar shirt...
We dropped Caleb back off at home, and then came on up the mountain... on the way to dinner at Brenda's, we saw this gorgeous sunset!
Sunday, November 28th was Emily's 28th birthday. We celebrated at Asiana - all the Chinese food we wanted to eat! Emily's admiring a S'More ornament, saying "Let it snow!"
Mom, Stephanye and Caleb look on...
Emily's holding one of the cards she made - and got back!
Say cheese!

Where did October go???

Fall is such a beautiful time! Emily and I took the boys to Lyda Farm in Hendersonville several times over the summer. Here, pumpkins are prominent! Caleb poses on the wagon! (10/13)
Adam attempts to bite an apple... but just for the picture!
Caleb sits near the carved apple - made from a tree stump - eating his apple...
Caleb loves to watch the goats and chickens. Here he gets to pet a goat!
Get a look at these "turkey thighs"! Adam still has the chunky legs - but they will wither away to nothing shortly - after he starts crawling!
I asked Caleb to hold the cow's tail - he obliged!
Back at home, a beautiful October sky! I was getting ready to transplant an azalea and looked up!
Adam begins learning to crawl on October 15!
Sitting up very well on his own too!
Mom came to visit and got to watch the progress!
Meanwhile, Caleb wanted to play outside in his sandbox.
Later, Eric helped Caleb hang from the clothes line! He loved it!

Eric turns 30!

Guess who hit the (first) BIG ONE?

Eric celebrated with a taco bar - and yummy dips to go along. You'll notice his bottle of Chipotle Tabasco Sauce is close by!
Adam waits in his high chair for something to come his way!
Dad, Joan, Emily and Jeff line up in the kitchen...
Trent and Mom entertain Adam a bit later.
Brenda and Eric's cousin Mike chat with Caleb.
Also celebrating are Angela (Eric's sister) and Dave Dittbrender from church.
Adam is tickling Wayne's neck!
Emily created a license tag for Eric's car - 2 HOT 4 U BUT NOT 4 ME! A Tabasco bottle is centered! Eric loves spicy things - especially chipotle! That was the theme of the party!
Joan, Dad and I enjoy the "letter from Tabasco execs" thanking Eric for his patronage of said brand!
Dessert is a Reese's layer dessert - similar to dirt cake. Yummy! Glad there were leftovers!
Adam has reached his limit. He's off to bed!
Grandpa Wayne and Papa teach Caleb the art of blowing confetti across the table!
