the quiet times...

Caleb likes to get a book and sit in the cubby of the entertainment center - something his mommy like to do as a toddler too. Here he's playing with a drum stick and an empty bottle.

He typically likes to read in someone's lap, but we found him stretched out on the couch - using mommy's "yellow blanket" as a pillow and studying Arthur on the Farm. Emily's yellow blanket has been around 26 years and has been restitched several times. We pulled it out of the keepsake box when Caleb was born. I don't know that it will make it too much longer...

Gracie has adopted Caleb's puppy. She just loves him...

Beach prep

Bennett bought a new kayak last weekend - Caleb got to try it out on land. (He was the only one since the rest of us are too heavy while in dry dock!)

March Madness

March came in like a LION!

Just Thursday of last week, Caleb was enjoying the warm weather and feeding squirrels down near the pond.

Then Sunday, March 1st, we woke up to light snow flurries, but came home after church to the beginning of a beautiful 7" snow! As you see, Caleb was ready to stay and play in the snow but sadly, had to leave to get back to Hendersonville before it got worse...

Finishing up the snow man!

Jeff and Bennett went out to build a snowman. While I was finding the scarf, carrot, rocks, and my boots, etc. they had this guy up and 2/3rd's built! Here he has his Aussie hat on. Bennett made him into an ASU drum line leader! Don't you love his smile? Even his eyes crease with joy!We walked around the property and neighborhood a bit taking pictures and just enjoying the crisp day and lovely snow. It stayed around 34 degrees until 9 PM.
