September 23rd, 2009 - Another boy is on the way!

Emily had her ultrasound today and we have another grandson on the way!

The nurse did a 3D picture too - his little face is so sweet! He's about 20 1/2 weeks along.

Emily and Eric posing with a teal-blue onesie.

Caleb is showing his impression of Mommy carrying baby brother... Papa put him up to it! What a blessed day! We're thankful for good health and looking forward to meeting Freeman #2 next February!

Charleston!

Jeff and I took Caleb to Charleston, SC for the weekend. We arrived Friday evening, went out to a wonderful dinner at Gilligan's, then came back to the hotel. Jeff is reading to Caleb before bedtime. We had a suite, so Caleb slept in the livingroom.
Saturday morning, Caleb got up and started playing with "Sherriff" from CARS. We ate breakfast and then headed to Beaufort for the morning.
Grandpa Wayne is sharing his binoculars with Caleb. They had just spent several minutes using duck calls - making noise!!
Mimi and Caleb check out the four-wheeler.
Caleb realized 2 cameras were snapping his pictures - he was pointing to both, saying "2 cameras"
Angela is loving on Izzy and Pit-a-Pat. Sweet little doggies!
Playing peek-a-boo on the hope chest.
Caleb received a tractor and trailer from Mimi and played with it all weekend!
Arriving at Waterfront Park. Caleb spent several hours aboard and was quite happy!
Cooper River Bridge - I'd like to see that up close next time!
The pineapple fountain! Designed to be enjoyed... several children were playing right beneath the lowest level.Caleb enjoyed splashing so much he didn't want to leave.
Watching a small crab on the sidewalk.
Playing with the tractor and trailer at lunch at the Soda Shoppe in Charleston.
Sharing Blue Bell ice cream after lunch.
Back at the hotel, a "late night" dip (8:45 pm). We wanted to do it all!

Bedtime again Saturday night! Caleb is hanging on to his tractor while reading...
Can you believe Sunday morning? No, he didn't sleep with them, but did wake up at 4 a.m. to ask about them. He did go back to sleep - and slept until 8:15!
Love the bed head look!
On to Folley Beach after breakfast. The weather was perfect - low 80's and moderate wind. It was strong enough to flip my umbrella inside out several times. (I was trying to shield Caleb from the sun after the first hour.)
Water, sand, and a dump truck - that's all a boy needs...

September has come!

August is almost over... this is the last day of August. Sipping decaf from his own coffee mug!
Caleb and I visit a park pretty much every Tuesday. These scenes are from our church playground. The sand of the volley ball pit makes a great dump truck location.
Wandering through the field - looks like a professional photo, doesn't it? Love the colors!
Last week Caleb got a hair cut. He's cooler but it's short!

On the slide...

Swinging again! Forward and...

...back!
